Yuri of Girls’ Generation Makes Movie Debut! Lead Actress for ‘No Breathing’! |
Yuri of Girls’ Generation was picked up as the lead actress for the new movie ‘No Breathing’ and will make her film debut.
‘No Breathing’ (production Sujak, Popcorn Film/Distribution Niners Entertainment) is the first Korean movie that depicts youthful friendship and love based on swimming. Together with Yuri, Lee Jong-seok and Seo In-guk will also star in the movie, and is expected to receive much attention from movie fans.
In this movie, Yuri will play the role of ‘Jung-eun’, who dreams of becoming a musician and has a down-to-earth personality, innocent look, and heart-touching vocal abilities. She will be in a triangle of love together with her childhood friends Lee Jong-seok and Seo In-guk.
Yuri has already proven her acting abilities through the KBS 2TV sitcom ‘Unstoppable Marriage’ and SBS TV drama ‘Fashion King’, so there are high expectations of what she will display in this movie.
Yuri said, “I am happy to show you guys a new side of me through this movie. After reading the scenario to ‘No Breathing’, I loved my character and I really wanted to play that role. I will work hard to contribute to the film.”
Meanwhile, the film, ‘No Breathing’ will crank in on May 19 and is expected to hit theaters within this year.
